Bedford Technology® began manufacturing tin-tie closure application equipment in 1992. From 1992 to 1998 this division of Bedford Industries® continued to grow. Due to this growth Bedford Technology® was able to branch off on its own, and Bedford Technology®, LLC resulted. We started off with 20 employees, most of whom had been employed with Bedford Industries®. We were able to bring along with us engineers, designers, sales personnel, office staff, skilled machinists, experienced machine assembly personnel, and a top notch electrical staff that includes an electrical engineer and technicians. In November of 1998 we moved to our new facilities. We continue to design and manufacture reclosable packaging and bundling systems.

The size of our workforce has grown to 40 full, and part-time employees. We have a fully equipped, high-tech machine shop, which includes a CNC lathe and CNC mill. Not only do our machinists make all the parts needed for our own reclosable packaging and bundling equipment, they also take on parts machining for outside customers. With help from our engineering and design staff we are able to keep the machine shop busy with customized jobs for companies in the surrounding area.

After considerable research and testing, the manufacture of Bedford Plastic Timbers® began in 1990. In 1998 when Bedford Technology®, LLC moved to its new facilities at 2424 Armour Road the manufacturing and sales of Bedford Plastic Timbers® also moved to these new facilities to allow for continued growth - and boy did we grow! The growth we have experienced in the plastic timber area since that time has been nothing short of phenomenal. In order to cut down on long lead times, and to provide our customers with the best service possible, a new state of the art production line was added to the lumber area in February of 2000.

ForeSite Designs™, a subsidiary of Bedford Technology®, LLC was established in 2002.
